I’m John, and I photograph the quiet love we share with our pets.
My first dog Flynn was 11 years old when I first got into photography. He was a great subject to practice my photography skills on, because he would instinctively know when I was going to take his photo and learned to “pose” for me. Those years were precious, and so I feel privileged to be able to preserve your pet’s character and personality.
The years with them are gentle and fleeting. A season of puppy clumsiness. A familiar face resting at your feet. The steady presence that makes a house feel like home. My work is about holding onto those moments — the ones that pass softly, yet mean everything.
If you’re drawn to images that feel more like memories than photographs, I would be honored to create something meaningful for you.
Every portrait begins with a conversation.
